Importancia de evitar el error en el equipo de salud. Concientización de su importancia desde el primer año de la Carrera de Medicina (...) Instituto universitario de seguridad y calidad USAL

The evaluation of a multiple choice test on a single grid where only considered the correct answers and wrong are not penalized only provides partial information about student knowledge. The addition of a second grid to complete simultaneously with answers to the same questions where wrong answers are penalized in the score, and no unanswered questions (answers blank) are accounted allows you to add information knowledge and attitude about student against decisions. The aim of this study is to quantify the information obtained from both grids completed simultaneously, one without and the other with a penalty through the score of wrong answers in multiple-choice tests of the Department of Anatomy at the School of Medicine of the University of Salvador. The purpose of accounting for the corresponding wrong answers in both grids is to have a quantifiable element that determines the level of knowledge available to the student in the gridwithout penalty by responding correctly so we can evaluate it properly. Without the complement of the second grid in which the error penalizes all the right answers they would have assigned the same value. It should be borne in mind that the issues have been intensively developed entirely in theoretical and practical classes so that the required level of information was always available to the student. We believe that the penalization of error in an examination, contributing to raise awareness proceeding responsibly. Results of three exams in which 1032 students of the Department of Anatomy participated in the race of Medicine USAL whose themes covered the whole matter were considered. The questions were answered simultaneously on two grids: the grid-1 (G-1) where the wrong answers are not penalized and the grid-2 (G-2) in which wrong answers are penalized and are not counted for score the unanswered questions, answers blank (B2). The error penalty in the second grid allows to demonstrate the safety with which the correct answers on the grid without penalty were developed and offers teachers an item to evaluate the student properly whenever the question is formulated correctly and no ambiguities. It should be considered that in the grid without penalty the student answers all the questions. The error penalty of error in multiple-choice exams can accomplish the objective partially related to better understanding and achievement.
