KLM Ti:S oscillator with simplified cavity design

A simplified design for a hard-aperture Kerr-lens mode-locked (KLM) Ti:sapphire (Ti:S) oscillator was proposed based on the Z-scan technique. This method ensures an enhanced Kerr sensitivity required for KLM operation of the oscillator and determines the optimal cavity configuration. Numerical analysis was supported by the experimental results.
