New furanopyridine alkaloids from the leaves of Glycosmis pentaphylla

Abstract Three new furanopyridine alkaloids, namely glypenfurans A–C ( 1 – 3 ), were isolated from the leaves of Glycosmis pentaphylla together with six known furoquinoline alkaloids. Their structures were determined by extensive spectral analysis (UV, IR, MS, 1D and 2D NMR).
