Preliminary results of Cosmo-SkyMed announcement of opportunity projects about marine monitoring

In the paper are presented some of the main outcomes of the projects, relevant to marine monitoring, developed in the framework of the first Announcement of Opportunity Cosmo-SkyMed. The principal subjects covered are: ship detection, oil spill monitoring, wind retrieval, sea surface currents estimation and coastline extraction.
