Correlation between Energy Spectrum of TSEE and Radiation Quality

The TSEE energy spectra from a LiF single-crystal exposed to various qualities of radiation have been investigated. Irradiation by high-energy electrons produced with an electron linear accelerator results in an unusual deviation in the integrated-type energy spectrum compared to spectra obtained using low-energy X-rays or a mixed field of fast neutrons and high energy X-rays. The increasing rate of the average energy of the exoelectrons emitted from a sample exposed to a mixed field vs. the sample temperature was observed to be much higher than that in case of high-energy electron irradiation.
