Development of the ionization wave in the breakdown of the plasma focus device

In this work a model of the breakdown that includes the photoeffect on the cathode is presented. We observed successful development of the cylindrical ionization wave sliding along the insulator in the plasma focus as it does in the real device at a pressure of 3 Torr.
