Design Engineers' Concepts of Skills for System Operation and Maintenance.

1981
Abstract : This effort was conducted as part of a program aimed at developing tools for the hardware developers to use in assessing the personnel implications and costs of alternative design options. The objectives of this effort were to determine the kinds of skill concepts engineers apply to their designs and whether the sophistication of these skill concepts can be increased by presenting the engineer with a structured framework based on behavioral research.
