OBSERVATIONS OF SKIN REACTIONS IN TELECESIUM THERAPY

1964
Radiation reactions of skin, observed after tele-gammatherapy with /sup 137/Cs are discussed. Conclusions were made about the radiation response of surfaces in different body regions. An increase in skin tolerance to conventional types of radiation was obtained only if irradiation cones were not used. The increased radiation tolerance resulted primarily from the build-up effect of /sup 137/Cs gamma rays. (auth)
