Practically deployable and effectively single-mode all-solid photonic bandgap fibre with an effective area of 1028 µm 2

Effective area limit for a practically deployable and effectively single-mode all-solid photonic bandgap fibre is investigated. 1028-μm 2 effective area and 0.09 dB/m bending loss at 20-cm bending radius are achieved in a fabricated fibre.
