From Fringe to Mainstream: New Immigrants and Chinese Economies in North America

In this article,the authors ascribes the prosperity of the Chinese economies in North America to the new immigrants from mainland China who have infused vitality into Chinese communities,to the resulting expansion of China towns that has occurred to meet the needs of the blooming Chinese businesses,to the operation of Chinese bus companies that has extended Chinese influence beyond China towns,and to the Chinese high-tech talents who have successfully challenged the world's best brains in their fields.These new developments,the authors,argue,have brought Chinese Americans from the fringe of American society to its mainstream core.
