Effect of Magnetic-Pulse Processing on the Emission and Magnetic Properties of the Surface Layer of Amorphous Alloys Used in Electrical Engineering

2021
In this paper, we study the effect of processing by weak pulses of a magnetic field on the emission and magnetic properties of the surface layer of amorphous Fe(SiBNb) alloys used in electrical devices. The method of gas-discharge visualization is used to identify areas of local disturbance of the electric field on microroughnesses of the surface. Changes in the characteristics of alloys are explained by the presence of microimpurities, which initiate the reordering of atoms under the effect of magnetic pulses; this intensifies the transfer of charges between metalloids and magnetoactive atoms. Investigation of the energy spectrum of emitted electrons allows a conclusion to be drawn about the prevalence of quantum-size effects in the processes of electron emission.
