Control Strategy of Dual Three-phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Based on Cross Decoupling

The coupling between the two sets of windings of dual three phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (DTP-PMSM) deteriorates the dynamic performance of the system. A cross-decoupling method for the DTP-PMSM drive system is proposed in this paper. The inductance matrix in d-q axis can be got by the conversion of the inductance matrix in the static frame. So the mathematic model of the voltages of d-q axis with the complete decoupling can be derived and the two sets of windings can be controlled respectively with the proposed cross-decoupling method. The dynamic performance of the current loop is improved greatly with the coupled voltage between the two sets of windings compensated. The simulation results verify effectiveness of the decoupled control strategy.
