Alma Mater Society Policy Committee

2015
The Alma Mater Society (AMS) develops and maintains a range of representational policies 1 addressing topics affecting student life and learning. This policy forms the basis of the Society’s advocacy work by stating guiding principles, identifying emerging concerns, and proposing creative solutions to improve the educational experience at Queen’s. The AMS Policy Committee is responsible for maintaining and updating the AMS’ current representational policies, and operates as a support unit for representational policy development across the Society. Committee members will be responsible for identifying gaps in current policy coverage, assisting salaried staff with the research and editing process, and making recommendations around content and format. The Committee will have the opportunity to engage with many areas of the AMS, and will play an instrumental role in supporting the Society in representing its membership.
