Optimal Scheduling Method of Edge Computing Device Resource for Power Distribution Service

Fast evolving cities emerge new power distribution services and will create a new distribution service ecology. Edge computing is the vital technique to provide data processing capability and support the new distribution services. The Edge Computing Device (ECD) has limited data processing capability and under certain situations ECD cannot satisfy the demand of each distribution service. Therefore, the scheduling method that can effectively utilize ECD resource and improve the performance of distribution services is worth studying. The distribution services supported by ECD are analyzed and distribution service model is built considering service latency, importance and computing workload. Based on the proposed service model, two optimal ECD resource scheduling methods are presented. Case study results show that the methods can decrease the latency while satisfying the real-time requirement of crucial service, which proves that the methods are effective.
