Magnetic properties of (Mn1−xMx)3B4 (M = Cr, Mo, Ta, W)

Abstract Solid solutions (Mn 1− x M x ) 3 B 4 (M = Cr, Mo, Ta, W) with Ta 3 B 4 type structure were synthesized under high pressure- temperature conditions and their crystallographic and magnetic properties were examined. The Curie temperature of the samples changed from 440 K to 780 K and the relation between Curie temperature and their unit cell volume was linear.
