System and the good processing method and electronic checks

The invention concerns a system and a procedure of processing electronic coupons, such as discount vouchers, gift certificates or meal vouchers, whereas the merchant is equipped with an electronic terminal allowing him to benefit from the advantages of electronic coupons compared to paper coupons on the existing electronic cash registers. According to the invention, a customer can be identified based upon a portable object that he holds, a biometric measurement or a personal code, and the terminal can obtain the list of codes relating to the electronic coupons of which the customer disposes. These codes can then be transmitted to the electronic cash register of the merchant, as if they were paper coupons, without having to modify the infrastructure of the merchant, for example by the printing of a list of EAN 13 barcodes or by the direct transmission to the cash register.
