Monitoring and analyzing of Foodborne pathogens contamination state for public catering units in Chengde city

Objective:To realize prompt forecast and early warning for food poisoning by investigating the contamination state and trend of foodborne pathogens in public catering units of Chengde City.Methods: Collect food samples casually from 8 public catering units of Chengde City from Jan.2008 to Dec.2009 to make common foodborne pathogens test.Results: The detection rate of 150 Vibrio parahaemolyticus is 12.00%(18/150);the detection rate of 120 Listeria monocytogenes is 5.83%(7/120);the detection rate of 122 Salmonella is 2.46%(3/122);the detection rate of 50 Golden Staphylococcus is 2.00 %(1/50);no detection for 60 Shigella;no detection for 60 Escherichia coli O157.Conclusion: The contamination extend of foodborne pathogens in public catering units of Chengde City is great,therefore in order to keep diners′ health,pollution control should be strengthened.
