Detection and analysis of polymorphism of N-acetyltransferase1 Genotype in Chinese Hans

2005
Using multiple PCR and PCR-RFLP methods, we studied the NAT1 genotypes and its genetic polymoprphisms of the peripheral blood samples from 140 Han people. The NAT1 genotype detecting method avoided interaction of several restriction endonucleases and distinguish the genotyp eof NAT1 accurately. The allelic frequencies of NAT1*3, NAT1*4, NAT1*10 and NAT1*11 among Chinese were 0.082, 0.496, 0.40 and 0.022, respectively. The frequency of NAT1*4 was significantly lower than that of Caucasian populations, but higher thans that in Southeast Asia. The NAT1*10 allele was comparable with that of many Asian populations, but higher than that in Caucasians. The frequency of NAT1*3 was very low and similar to that of most populations. The methods of multiple PCR and PCR-RFLP can detect the NAT1 genotype specifically. The distribution of NAT1 genetype is different from that in other countries.
