El impacto de las redes sociales en el ámbito educativo

espanolTwitter es una de las redes de microblogging mas utilizadas. El objetivo de esta investigacion fue analizar el potencial de las redes sociales como Twitter para aumentar el aprendizaje significativo de los estudiantes. El estudio se desarrollo a traves de tres fases: 1) los estudiantes tenian que seguir un Cuenta de Twitter previamente creada por un profesor. 2) Los estudiantes se dividieron en diferentes grupos y todos los mensajes relacionados con el contenido de la asignatura se distribuyeron entre ellos. 3) Los estudiantes tuvieron que tratar de explicar el contenido de estos mensajes a traves de la teoria ensenada en clase. 4) El ultimo paso consistio en presentar las explicaciones de los tweets y su analisis al resto de la clase. Para hacerlo, se siguio el metodo del rompecabezas. Tanto los resultados cuantitativos como cualitativos de la experiencia mostraron una gran satisfaccion y compromiso con el tema y la tarea. EnglishTwitter is one of the most used microblogging networks. The objective of the research we present is to analyze the potential of social networks such as Twitter to increase students' significant learning.The study was developed through three phases: 1) students had to follow a Twitter account previously created by a teacher. 2) The students were divided into different groups and all the messages related to the content of the subject were distributed between them. 3) The students had to try to explain the content of these messages through the theory taught in class. 4) The last step of the process was the presentation of the explanations of the tweets and their analysis to the rest of the class. In order to do so the puzzle method was followed. The qualitative and quantitative results of the experience showed great satisfaction and engagement with the subject and the task.
