Development of controlled-release capsule of albendazole.

Controlled-release capsule taken albendazole as raw material and starch,stearic acid,carboxymethlcellulose,ect.as auxiliary material was developed,in which bounds were assembled as driving fo rce for medicine releasing.Experiments in the laboratory and in the field demons trated that the controlled-release capsules could 100% repel gastrointestinal n ematodes of ovine and it also could efficiently protect animals from re-infecti on for more than 90 d.Compared with the traditional albendazole tables,protecti on of the capsule was prolonged more than two months.In an integrated control mo del conducted in Huan County,Gansu Province,the economic evaluation showed that the controlled-release and slow extended-release capsules could reduce the los s by 30.75 yuan and 25.50 yuan,respectively,which met the expected objective who lly.
