The invention discloses a device and a method for measuring a container volume by using pipeline space, and belongs to the technical field of measurement. The device comprises an air feed system, a first isolating valve, a vacuum gauge, a second isolating valve, a measured container, a standard volume and an air-bleed system, wherein the air feed system, the first isolating valve, the second isolating valve and the measured container are connected sequentially, the vacuum gauge is connected to a pipeline between the first isolating valve and the second isolating valve, the air-bleed system is connected with the measured container, and the standard volume is placed into the measured container during measurement. The device is used for directly placing the standard volume into the measured container, therefore additional volume caused by connection of a flange with the pipeline is avoided, the volume change of the measured container is not caused, the volume of the measured container can be measured accurately, and volume measurement of large containers can be achieved simultaneously.
