Regulation in Long-range Magnetic Ordering in 2-D Honeycomb Network of (NBu4)[MIIFeIII(ox)3] (MII = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, and Cu) Family

Comprehensive studies on 2-D honeycomb-type magnets (NBu4)[MIIFeIII(ox)3] (MII = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni and Cu) reveal that the family orders ferrimagnetically at comparable temperatures (21-43 K). Moreover, the mixed-valence FeIIFeIII compound magnetically orders at elevated temperature (43 K) relative to other MIIFeIII compounds (21-28 K). The relevance of these magnetic characteristics to other families is reviewed.
