ACOUSTIC INVESTIGATIONS ON BENZOIC ACID IN WATER + METHANOL MIXTURES IN THE TEMPERATURE RANGE 293.15 TO 313.15 K

2015
Ultrasonic velocity (U) and density (d) has been measured for Benzoic acid in various water + methanol systems at different temperatures. Using the experimental data, adiabatic compressibility (βad), apparent molar compressibility (Φk), limiting molar compressibility (Φk ° ), intermolecular free length (Lf,) specific acoustic impedance (Z), relative association (RA), solvation number (Sn) are calculated and interpreted in terms of solute-solvent and solute co-solvent interactions.
