The invention provides an article inspection method applied to a moving device, and aims at realizing detection of the article in the article storage unit of the detection object. Specifically, the moving device can obtain the moving route corresponding to the detection object before the inspection. The moving route is a pre-planned route according to the arrangement mode of the article storage unit arranged in the detection object and passes the article storage unit so that the moving device can move autonomously along the moving route and detects storage of the article when passing through the article storage unit in the autonomous movement process. Compared with the remote control of the moving device by the ground personnel, the moving device can control its own movement process so asto realize automation of the article inspection process.
