RETRACTED: Synthesis of FeAlPO-5 doped proton conducting and highly stable composite membrane

Structurally stable, proton conducting and cost effective composite membrane was synthesized successfully using simple and facile solution casting approach. 4% FeAlPO-5 showed remarkable compatibility with c-PVA forming uniform and defect-free thin film membrane. 4% FeAlPO-5 doping led to introduce bronsted acidic sites in membrane and thereby drastic improvement in proton conductivity was observed. Synthesized composite membrane revealed excellent water holding capacity with proton conductivity of the order 10−5 S cm−1 measured at 80 °C under fully hydrated conditions.
