Analysis on Bearing Failure of Ultra-Supercritical Power Unit

Aiming at bearing failure for the operation process of 660MW ultra supercritical unit,the paper studied on working characteristics of steam turbine and failed bearing.Several methods were adopted such as system analysis,nondestructive testing,physical and chemical analysis etc.The results showed that: No.1 bearing without design of oil system which leaded to oil film oscillation.It could be solved by increasing in design for the jacking oil system and improving the temperature witch speed.In addition,the elements were out of standard for tin based alloy of the under bearing,and the abnormal segregation of beta phase which close to the joint surface etc.,which had make the bad connection for the bearing.It should to prevent elemental segregation by controlling manufacturing process which included material quality and technology manufacturing process.
