The grammatical distinction between possessive pronouns and possessive adjectives in Old French

The present article examines the problem of the grammatical distinction between possessive adjectives and possessive pronouns in Old French. Analyzing the compatibilities of these linguistic units, the author attempts to prove that the class of possessive adjectives and the class of possessive pronouns were formed during the period from the ninth to the thirteenth century.
