Structural and physicochemical study of chitosan and polyvinylpyrrolidone blends

Physical and physicochemical methods are used to study a blend based on industrial crab chitosan and polyvinylpyrrolidone over a wide composition range. Thermodynamic data indicate that this pair of polymers is compatible at certain component ratios. However, electron micrographs show that the polymeric layers are heterogeneous.
