Study of ground moving target parameters estimation and imaging for Mini-SAR

2017
This article provides a novel algorithm for moving targets imaging and parameters estimation using Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave Synthetic Aperture Radar (FMCW SAR). First, the range curve is roughly corrected with the velocity of the Mini-SAR. Then, we estimate the motion parameters of the moving target based on Radon transform and Fractional Fourier Transform (FrFT). After that, the range curve is precisely compensated with the compensation function related to the estimated parameters. Compared with conventional methods, this algorithm carries out range curve correction twice to improve the imaging accuracy. Both simulated and real data results are provided in this paper.
