Enrichment of Iridoid Glycosides in Gardenia jasminoides Ellis with Macroporous Resin

Enrichment of iridoid glycosides from the 80% EtOH extract of Gardenia jasminoides Ellis by macroporous resin was studied.The result suggested that D101 macroporous resin column chromatography eluting with 80% EtOH was suitable for purification of iridoid glycosides from this plant.The content of iridoid glycosides was up to 70% in the dried fraction of 80% ethanolic elution determined by UV-Vis.
