USE OF GPS SYSTEMS FOR MOVEMENT AND MONITORING VEHICLE IN ROAD TRAFFIC

2019
This paper describes the development of GPS, the active and passive modes in which the system can be used, the control, terrestrial and cosmic segments of GPS. Satellite layout, control station display and their role are presented and the GPS operating principle is explained in detail. In this paper lists driver and vehicle monitoring systems. The driver and vehicle monitoring system enables measurement of fuel consumption and factors related to driver driving style, such as speed, acceleration, idling, and braking, each affecting fuel consumption, maintenance costs and safety. In this way, the system can help to achieve some of the following benefits: reducing fuel consumption by recording the amount of fuel consumed to determine losses and eliminating the cause of their occurrence, reducing fuel consumption through better vehicle management, reducing the number of accidents leading to reduced insurance costs, reducing maintenance costs through better quality vehicle management by the driver, identifying individuals who need training.
