Fluoride content in domestic water sources of Dungarpur district of Rajasthan

A total of 1415 domestic water sources (751 hand pumps, 594 open wells, and 70 perennial ponds) of 79 villages of Bichhiwara, 93 of Aspur, 96 of Sagwara, 121 of Dungarpur and 124 of Simalwara Panchayat Samiti of Dungarpur district of Rajasthan have been investigated for the evidence of fluoride content. 82.1%, 77.3%, 71.5%, 48.2% and 37.0% water sources of Sagwara, Aspur, Dungarpur, Bichhiwara nd Simalwara Panchayat Samitis respectively showed the presence of fluoride. Open wells showed fluoride concentration upto 10 mg/L.
