La Asociación de Antiguos Alumnos de Ingeniería Forestal de la Universidad de Extremadura (AAAIFUEX): creación y retos

In this work the steps followed in order to create the Alumni Association of Forest Engineering of the University of Extremadura (AAAIFUEX) are exposed. Its creation was due to the lack detected when many of the students ended their studies of Forest Science, losing the contact with the Degree. Thus, the experience they acquired and their personal circumstances could not be known. This information could allow improving the training of the Degree. Recovering this contact with many of these Alumni and creating AAAIFUEX will allow the dissemination and exchange of information among the stakeholders (Alumni, Companies and Institutions and University) through virtual platforms and social networks commonly used today. Considering the good reception of this initiative both between Alumni and Companies and Institutions, a survey was conducted for each of these groups. It was checked that this survey was a suitable method to collect useful information for detecting the main lacks of the Degree. That way, the innovative and teaching improvements required will be incorporated at the Degree in order to face the nearest future.
