Scapania macroparaphyllia, a new species of Scapania (Scapaniaceae) from Xizang, China

A new liverwort species, Scapania macroparaphyffia T. Cao, C. Gao & J. Sun, is described from Xizang (Tibet), China. The new species is closely related to S. bolanderi Aust. in the leaves bipartite to the base, leaf keels extremely short, leaf cells strongly thickened at the corners, pseudoparaphyllia present in leaf axils, but differs by the plant small, pseudoparaphyllia large, long lamellate, leaf lobes margin irregularly long toothed, teeth usually consisting of 1 - 3 cells arranged in a single row, cuticle of leaves rough, densely papillose, the papillae large, 6 - 7 pan in diameter.
