An Analysis of Cultural Transmission of an Ethnic Minority Community Based on a Social Memory:A Case Study of the Hmeng People in Southeast of Guizhou

Taking a social memory approach to cultural evolution and using it as an example of the Hmeng people inhabiting in the Southeast of Guizhou,the present paper attempts to investigate the ethnic cultural memory construction process,and collective memory to show how culture is inherited.Meanwhile,with the help of the theory and the model of social memory,it analyzes the carriers of social memory for traditional cultures and the forms of memories about ethnic minority cultures.That apart,from a perspective of epistemic agency,this paper rethinks the structure,pattern,evolution and laws of human activities,and attempts to build an interaction model to account for the intrinsic mechanism of social evolution and ethnic cultural transmission.
