Structure and properties of electroless nickel-boron alloy

1993
Heat treatment is capable of considerable improvement in hardness and wear resistance of nickel-boron alloy. The as-plated Ni-B alloy coating is noncrystalline. During heat treatment, its structure begins converting to crystalline and nickel crystal is precipitated at 250 o C. Ni 3 B is precipitated at 300 o C
