Improved method for determination of the peroxide value of amygdala amara

Objective: To optimize the determination method of peroxide value of amygdala amara. Method: The amount of water and grease were changed based on the determination method of peroxide value of amygdala amara recorded in China Pharmacopoeia (2010 edition). Result: The experiment color reaction was not apparent, and no result can be got by the peroxide value determination method recorded in China Pharmacopoeia (2010 edition). And through the improvement of adding 60 mL water and 5 g grease in the experiment, a ideal color reaction with obvious terminal color was found with good repeatability, stability and linearity. Conclusion: The result can provide effective measuring method for peroxide value of amygdala amara drugs.
