Periodic orbits in 3-dimensional systems and application to a perturbed Volterra system☆

Abstract We give a theorem about the existence of periodic orbits for a 3-dimensional system, then use it to study a perturbation of a 3-dimensional Volterra system, and prove the existence and uniqueness of its periodic orbits on a 2-dimensional invariant manifold.
