A Renewable Energy Capacity Allocation Planning Method Considering the Balance of Renewable Energy Accommodation and System Investment Costs

In the power system with high proportion of renewable energy, the contradiction between the growth of renewable energy installation capacity and renewable energy accommodation is getting increasingly serious. Thus, there is a pressing need to develop a rational generation capacity allocation planning method adapting to the development of renewable energy. This paper proposes a renewable energy capacity allocation planning method, which satisfies both the need of minimizing renewable energy investment costs and the demand of renewable energy accommodation. The proposed method is a multi-objective optimization problem, and the satisfaction function is adopted to obtain the optimal scheme. Finally, a provincial power grid in northwest China is taken as an example to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
