Separation properties of polymeric multilayer pervaporation membrane of new type

1995
Separation properties are studied of a novel multilayer pervaporation membrane composed of a fine-porous poly(diphenyloxideamido-N-phenylphthalimide) support, an interlayer of poly(2-dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate) in the quaternized form, and a coating diffusion layer of ladder polysiloxane. Separation properties of the multilayer membrane are discussed in terms of the Henis-Tripodi resistance model accounting for the hydrophilic-hydrophobic nature of the polymer materials used.
