Comparison of theory and method of carrying capacity of regional water resources

Water resources is the basic resources in arid and semi-arid area.The carrying capacity of water resources is the key index to evaluate whether the water resources can support the sustainable development of economy-social-ecological-environment.This paper compared the advantages and disadvantages of the common methods of regional water resources carrying capacity evaluation.Combined with cases,it analyzed the representative index system and put forward the problems in the evaluation of water resources carrying capacity.
