Method for relieving pressure of a fuel cell system and motor vehicle

The technology disclosed herein relates to a method of depressurizing a fuel cell system of a motor vehicle. The method comprises the steps of: i) interrupting the fuel supply between all fuel storages H2 and a fuel cell stack 300 of the fuel cell system; and ii)) providing electrical energy through the fuel cell stack 300 after the fuel supply has been interrupted.
