Recent results in energy- and angle-resolved double photoionization

1996
The study of energy- and angle-resolved double photoionization leads to the triple-differential cross section (TDCS) which can provide, except for the spin polarization of the electrons, the most complete information on the double photoionization process. Three recent results will be presented: an absolute measurement for a selected helium TDCS pattern, TDCS patterns for direct double photoionization in neon leading to the three final ionic states, 1Se, 3Pe, and 1De of the np4 ion core, and an investigation of resonance-affected double photoionization in the neon 2p4 1De continuum.
