Experimental Mapping of the Operational Regimes of Phononic Frequency Combs

Micromechanical resonators present versatile platforms for probing nonlinear dynamics. One such recent illustration is the experimental observation of ‘phononic frequency combs’. Using an exemplar resonator device, this paper probes the emergence of various regimes of phononic frequency combs owing to the interplay between ‘ $(N+1)$ -wave mixing’ and pumped ‘ $(N+1)$ -wave mixing'.
