The invention provides a method for selecting an object of a smartwatch, comprising the steps as follows: recording the sliding distance and sliding direction, which correspond to a sliding touch command when receiving the sliding touch command which is input by a user under a plurality of object displaying states; finding frequency for switching the object corresponding to the sliding touch command according to a corresponding relation of preset distance and switching frequency of the object; and selecting to obtain the object corresponding to the sliding touch command according to switching direction corresponding to the sliding direction of the sliding touch command and the found frequency for switching the object. The method and the device can be used for conveniently and reliably selecting a target object when a screen size is limited.
