On the Path of the Malefic... The Unconscious Ego

The malefic is plural and the unconscious ego polysemic. Dostoievski’s figure of the double, a negative therapeutic reaction, and reflections on the negative and the inhuman reveal diverse aspects of the unconscious ego serving the purposes of the malefic: superego, splitting, resistance, negative elaboration. Furthermore, certain artists contribute to the work of culture and to the broadening of public self-awareness.
