This research project entitled “socioeconomic study of the production processes of family gardens in the urban area of the parish May 24 of the Quevedo canton” was prepared with the proposal to publicize the socioeconomic status of the production processes of family gardens, considering that crops in family gardens since ancient times are traditionally determined as part of a culture, generating an impact on the regeneration of the land and the maintenance of an organic production system, such is the case in our country is evidenced This type of crops in the indigenous communities and those who in turn commercialize all this diversity of products promoting national consumption and beneficiaries of the economy of the producing families in the country, however in the parish May 24 of the Quevedo canton various agricultural practices They are being forgotten. Consequently, a socio-economic study of the benefits generated by family gardens was raised as objectives in the evaluation project; identify the plants they produce in family gardens; determine the production processes that are most used in the family gardens of the May 24 parish of the Quevedo canton. The applied research methods were inductive and analytical, where bibliographic information was collected and through a survey of 30 people, with related questions according to the objectives of the research proposed, direct and truthful data were obtained and then processed and obtained. results. In the results obtained through the data collected, the species that are grown in the family gardens, the crop systems used and the expenses that are generated in the production and the records of their economic income were identified.
