The concept of main function zone was coined in the 11th Five-Year Plan hoping to arrange future population distribution,economical planning,land use and urbanization comprehensively for the purpose of making population,resource and environment developing harmoniously.China's urbanization has entered into a crucial phase with rapid speed.It is very important to work out a practical and appropriate strategy of urbanization.The auther analyzed the present situations of urbanization in different parts of China and presented relevant proposals about the sustainable development of urbanization.
