The method comprises the following steps of receiving an input method calling instruction, and receiving the input information of a user; obtaining language expected by a receiver of the input information; judging whether the language expected by the information receiver is identical to the language of the input information or not; if not, translating the input information into the language expected by the receiver; outputting the processed input information. The method provided by the invention has the advantage that the translation mode switching can be automatically performed according to the language expected by the information receiver, so the use smoothness degree of the input method is higher.
