Abstract : The J-57, P-7, Jet Engine Trainer-Simulator was designed to aid in fulfilling the following six training objectives: (1) To demonstrate general jet engine operation, (2) To teach normal starting procedures, (3) To teach power plant theory and proper setting, (4) To show on cockpit-type instruments the effect of malfunctions, (5) To teach correct emergency procedures, and (6) To teach diagnostic and corrective procedures.
